"Orwigsburg was the original county seat of Schuylkill County. The first settlement in Orwigsburg was made by Peter Orwig in 1773. He plotted the site in 1796 and named it Orwigsburg in honor of his grandfather, George Gottfried Orwig, who emigrated from Germany in 1747. Orwigsburg became the county seat in 1811 and was incorporated in 1823."

Sunday Worship

  • 9:00 AM
    Traditional
  • 10:30 AM
    Re-Generations
  • 6:30 PM
    SNL Cont.
Traditional

Our 9:00 AM Sunday morning worship service is a traditional worship experience. Designed to last approximately one hour, this service features a choir anthem, traditional hymns, organ music and a traditional liturgy: call to worship, collect or confession, Scripture readings, children's message, sermon, Apostle's Creed and The Lord's Prayer. Childcare is provided for this service.

Re-Generations

Our 10:30 AM Sunday morning re-Generations service is a family oriented-casual worship experience. In a relaxed atmosphere, re-Generations allow families to begin worship together with the children excused to Sunday School (Children's Chapel over the summer) approximately 15 minutes into the worship experience. The worship service then runs concurrent with Sunday School or Children's Chapel.

This one-hour service features special music or a children's anthem, praise songs, piano & guitar music and a relaxed liturgy: projected praise songs, Spirit led prayer, children's message, Bible readings and a relevant message. Childcare is provided for this service.

SNL

SNL is a fully contemporary worship experience. Meeting at 6:30 PM on Sunday evenings, SNL is designed to last 45 minutes to 1 hour. SNL features V.I.H., a blues band with electric guitar, bass, and drums. SNL also features projected praise songs and a relevant message. The message often makes use of film clips from recent movies. This is a very casual come as you are worship experience in a coffee house style setting. A Children's time and area is provided for this service.

Not sure which worship service is for you. Not a problem, try them all! We invite you to participate in the worship experience which suits your taste and meets your need.
