Friday, December 11, 2009 - At 5:00 p.m. Rescue 56 took a call for a vehicle accident at the intersection of Rt. 61 and South Liberty St.  While enroute to the scene, County Communications upgraded the call to a vehicle rollover with entrapment and Co. 47 Landingville was dispatched.  Rescue 56 arrived on scene to find a two vehicle accident with an SUV rolled over onto the driver's side  A Shenandoah EMS unit, which had been passing the scene, was providing patient care to the driver of the SUV.  The other driver fortunately was uninjured.  The Rescue's crew stabilized the vehicle and flapped the roof in order to free the victim.  Orwigsburg EMS transported the victim to Blue Mountain High School where Engine 4710 had established a landing zone for a Medevac helicopter.
